Hi Ya'll,
 
I thought I would go ahead and tell you the meaning of all my guys names,
since I mentioned Angus and Myrna Loy.  Except where noted, I named all the
guys, and I usually gave them their names because of the meaning.  Maybe
give some of you ideas for names.
 
Stan and Ollie-these guys were the first two and named for the comics,
Laurel and Hardy.
Owen-Welsh, well born. He is very sweet and has a sense of humor
George-Greek, earthworker. He is a chunk, slow and sweet.
Stella-Latin, star. Named for Sir Philip Sidney's Sonnet "Astrophel to
Stella."
Maxwell-Scottish place name. He is my puppy dog ferret, always laying on
my feet and giving me kisses.
Delilah-Hebrew, delicate. She is a very gentle loving little woman.
Maisie-Scottish pet form of Margery, form of Margaret. It means, Pearl.
She is a shy, timid beautiful black sable.
Esmerelda-Spanish, emerald. She is a beautiful jewel.
Angus-Scottish, unique choice. He is a quiet, intellegent loving man.
Myrna-Gaelic, beloved, gentle. She actually picked out her own name. I
tried several, but the first time I said this she stopped and looked at me.
Sadie-pet form of Sarah, princess. She came from the shelter with this
name and it suits her. This woman has attitude.
Nicky-Greek, victory people. He came with this name, but he has overcome
a lot and he does like it.
Sampson-Hebrew, sun. He is my 3 footed fellow, he has a lot of strength.
Henry-German, home ruler. He is a quiet, studious fellow who doesn't let
anyone push him around.
Rick-Old German, strong ruler. He is kind and just.
Freddy-Old German, peaceful ruler. He is a joker, and very stubborn.
Conan the Toebiter-Gaelic, high. He has two brain cells and a temper.
Pookie Bear- she was of course named by the FML. She is a very sweet
ferret, very loving.
 
Margaret(Greek, pearl) Marie(French for Mary, rebelliousness?)
BTW, I am named for my two grandmothers, Margaret Mae and Marie Pearl
