I am posting this to let everyone know about the Ferret Show We are going
to have Sept 18, 1999 in Lenior, NC
 
I would like to take this time and Dedicate this Show to all the Unwanted
and abused Ferrets today.  We got our first Ferret back about 4 years ago,
after going to the Pet store for a hamster.  They were all out of them and
our son said "Hey what about this?  Can I get this?  It's a Ferret!".  Well
all was decided to obtain two of the fury fuzballs.  We really didn't know
much about Ferrets, but we did have Internet access, so we decided to go
and look on the Internet for Ferrets.  I didn't think there would be so
much information on these little guys as we had seen.  We right away
subscribed to the FML and Judy compiled notebooks full of printed facts and
material from various sites on Ferrets.  We decided to try to form a club
as we seen that Ferret information was very scarce in the pet stores, and
even in the eyes of the Public.  Many people we talked to had no idea about
Ferret Care, so we began to educate.  As time rolled by we seen that there
was a need to rescue Ferrets from unwanted homes.
 
Today we now have the Western Carolina Ferret Shelter/ Rescue & Club, and
have grow in size.  We see the Need for rescuing Ferrets has grown, so that
brings us to the reason for this Show.  We need to continue to Educate
people, and Rescue Ferrets from various reasons, and we need your help to
do this.  This show will provide us with the necessary Supplies such as
Check UP's- shots- bedding-cages-Food, and the list goes on.  With your
help in contributing to coming to the show will provide a lot of necessary
Ferret Supplies.  If you cant make it to the show you can send your
contribution to the Shelter, or if you want to Sponsor a ring you can
contact us and tell us to put you down for a ring.  We also need vendors
help, as this is our 1st show and we want to make it a BIG and successful
one to Help our shelter to maintain the proper care for all the Ferrets.  I
will have Packets ready in July.  Please help us to make it Possible for
one more Ferret.
