Out of the 10 kids here adopted off the tree only 5 got their gifts.
Yup, the same person picked all 5. Seriously? I tried contacting her
and she said the package was on the way and to let me know when we got
it. It was ordered from ferretdepot.com. When it never arrived I sent
an email back asking if she knew shipping details. No response. We have
chalked her off our list. Very sad to know that someone did something
like this. We know times are tough right now. If there were unforseen
problems in life like there is all the time just tell us, we would of
made the best of the situation. It just would of been nice knowing.
Unfortunately 5 of the kids here didn't get to have their pictures
taken with their new things and enjoy rummageing through them Christmas
Day. Fortunately we did have some extra gifts from the other kids
secret santas that they got to play with. That's what we do here, take
pics of the kids opening up their gifts and send them to their secret
santas with a nice Thank You. I know when I picked some off the tree
and got the pics it made my day. We depend on getting in hammocks,
sleepsacks, blankets and other ferrety items here as we can send them
out with on the kids when they get adopted. Sort of a care package
shall we say. This way we know the ferret has some quality bedding to
sleep in. We get too many in with nothing in their cage except an old
ratty torn up hammock that hasn't been washed since who knows when.
I'm sure you other rescues and shelters know what I mean.....

Apparently this happend too much this year with kids getting adopted
and not getting their gifts. So please, next year if you want to adopt
a kid off the tree please go through with it. If you could see how they
do react when they get to open up a box with gifts it's priceless.
