Hi--
this is very common in a lot of ferrets; it triggers something--whether
they think you are attacking a young ferret, or whether it sounds like an
injured animal, no one knows for sure, but it's common.
 
If a squeaky toy agitates your ferret, you might want to save it for
emergencies  when you can't find her, need to call her, etc.
