This past Thursday, I took 2 of my 4 to the vet's for their shots and exams.
The itemized costs for ONE ferret was:

Annual exam w/vaccinations $22.00
Ferret distemper vaccination 15.00
Rabies vaccination 15.00
Clean ears 10.00
IVOMEC treatment 14.00 (She discovered ear mites during the exam)

Multiply times 2 ferrets, throw in a $5.55 tube of Laxatone, add tax, and
the total for both ferrets was $159.23. Since ear mites were discovered, I
made an appointment for the other 2 frits on Friday, which cost approx.
$50. (I gave my son the money and he took them in for the appointment, and
I haven't seen the itemized bill for it). In 10 days they will all need to
go back for more ear mite treatment, so that'll be another $100. This vet
is an Atlanta avian/exotic specialist.
