I'm at my wit's end and desparately need your help. I have a 2.5 year old
male albino (non-MF) named Gordi. For the past 6 months he has had a
strange skin disorder around his feet, stomach and bridge of his nose.
Around his feet he has orange "stuff", much like that waxy orange stuff
these guys get on their tails seasonly. You can see it between his toes,
around the base of his nails and on the bottom of his feet between his
little pads. He also has it on his stomach around his little "private
parts" and on the bridge of his nose. He itches and grooms himself alot and
he SMELLS VERY strong (I have three others who RARELY get baths because they
never smell). We've been to the vet a few times. His vet tried to find
yeast or a fungus and could find only a few yeast "cells". We tried 2
different shampoos (C-Derm and Nolvasan) with no improvement (Nolvasan only
semms to help with his smell). We have another appointment for this
Saturday and I would love to have some info for my vet. She's very good and
very ferret knowledgeable and I know she would appreciate any leads you
could provide.

BTW: Gordi loves to play in the shower and used to get wet a lot. I thought
this might have something to do with it so he doesn't get to do it anymore,
but it hasn't improved his problem. Otherwise he is fine, he plays like a
demon and eats like a small horse and gives non-stop kisses.

Please, let me know any suggestions you may have before this Saturday.

Thanks in advance,

Jennifer and Gordi (the smelliest ferret around)
