Its time! I am sponsoring a contest to generate material for the Third
Edition of the Ferret Poem Book (FPB). To give you all an incentive, I am
providing prizes for several different categories. For those of you who
are new to the FML, the FPB is a collection of poems, songs, stories and
art work by the readers of the FML. The book can be downloaded for free,
but readers are urged to send a donation to a ferret shelter if they like
the book. The Second Edition can be downloaded from
www.gis.net/~bpcoffey/poem.html.

Categories for the contest are:

     1) Short Stories
     2) Haiku
     3) Limericks
     4) Free Form Poetry
     5) Songs
     6) Rainbow Bridge

Prizes for each category will be A CHOICE OF either a $25 gift
certificate to The Ferret Store, OR an original artwork provided by
myself (assuming that I have time to do them all). In addition, each
entry to the contest will get a chance to win one of two $25 dollar gift
certificates. Details about prizes and rules are posted at
www.gis.net/~bpcoffey/contest.html. Artwork prizes will be updated
periodically.

E-mail entries can be sent directly to me, but it would also be nice to see
the poems/songs/stories on the FML to help get everyone's creative juices
flowing. Anything new to the Third Edition is automatically entered.
Hence all of the literary works that have appeared on the FML since the
last edition could potentially be winners. I have all of them here and
will contact the authors shortly. If you allow something to be included
in the book, then you are automatically entered in the contest as well.

Final date for entries is November 24th. The book hopefully will be
available for download on December 1st, 2000.
