The Alberta Ferret Society is blessed to have so many wonderful and caring
people who contribute in endless ways to helping Alberta's ferrets in need.
Whether through membership, fostering, volunteering, donations or serving
a term on the Board each person gives unselfishly and each one is very
special to us for without them we wouldn't exist.
 
I just want to take a moment to clarify something that has caused a bit
of confusion to some.  For the past several years the AFS has received a
yearly donation of hammocks and toys from a wonderful couple by the name
of Jim and Marie Smith who reside in B.C. Canada.  Because of their
generosity our rescues can snuggle in comfort in their foster homes and
always have a hammy and toys to take with them to their new adoptive homes.
Because of their generosity it is rare for us to run out of hammocks or
toys.  Thank you Jim and Marie for your kindness to our ferrets.
 
Marie recently posted on the FML that she makes the hammocks for the AFS
and she does.  Every hammock we receive from Jim and Marie goes directly
for the use of our rescues.
 
Pat Baby, a long time member and foster parent for the AFS, is the person
who designs and makes the variety of ferrets accessories for sale on our
page.  Pat's designs can be seen at http://www.alberataferretsociety.com.
 
I can vouch for the quality of these products being the proud owner of at
least one of everything she makes.  Pat's generosity helps the AFS to raise
funds to pay for the many veterinary appointments our rescues require.
 
Each of these people has and continues to make very special contributions
to the AFS and we could never thank either of them enough for what they
do.  They prove that "Together we can make a difference".
