Someone mentioned yesterday that silence in a ferret's room usually equals
said ferret finding some trouble to get into. I thought I was the only one
who had that theory...when it gets too quiet, I can't fight the urge to
start counting ferrets, i.e. "Okay, Marshmallow's there, Saffy's in the
cage, Jasper and Maggie are playing, the new ferret (yes, folks I know
that's sad...I can't think of a name for her) is biting my toe and Gatsby is
dragging my credit card under the....hey you come back here!"

My question is: those of you that have 10 or more ferrets, can you acutally
count them if you need to make sure they're behaving themselves? It's hard
enough to count six perpetually in motion fuzzies...I can't imagine 20 (or
more)...
