*FACT's 3nd Annual Blessing of the Animals. Noon to 3 pm - *
*Hartford, CT - *co-sponsored by the Church of the Good Shepherd
and the Ferret Association of Connecticut. In the event of unpleasant
weather, the event will be held inside the church.

The pastor of the Church of the Good Shepherd will provide a *Blessing
for your pet (or pet photo)*. All species are welcome! Each pet will
receive a small Blessing memento. The day will include representatives
from area animal shelters offering information about adoptions, and Dr.
Barrios of the East Hartford Animal Clinic will provide low-cost
vaccinations.

/Most vaccinations will be only $15. To make sure he has vaccines
needed on hand, please call Dr. Barrios' office at 860-282-8989
before 9/15 to reserve your pet's shot. /

Admission for the public is free, although a gift of pet food to share
among the participating shelters is requested.

FACT is still actively recruiting animal organizations who would like
to attend as well as animal-related companies who wish to exhibit their
products.

The stunning brownstone Church of the Good Shepherd is located at 155
Wyllys Street surrounded by a huge expanse of green lawn, just south
of the Convention Center. Free parking is available adjacent to the
church. Hours will be noon to 3 pm; the Blessing will begin at noon and
the vaccination clinic will begin approximately 1 pm. Please contact
