I haven't written to the FML in quite some time. However, with the recent
events in our lives I feel a need to write.

We noticed this past weekend our oldest ferret (approx. 6-7 yrs) had a
round knot on her tail about mid-way. Took her to the Vet on Monday and
he didn't get any puss out of the knot along with the x-rays he suggested
anputation of the tail leaving about 1/4 of the tail...he will send this
off to the lab for testing. We are really praying that it is just an
inoccent growth and nothing more. She is still very active and the knot
seems not to affect her in any way.

Has anyone else out there had a similar situation happen to them or a
ferret missing most of it's tail and how did it adjust etc.

Also, I am now pregnant and is there anything special I need to know about
pregnancy and ferrets that isn't other wise know i.e. wash hands etc.

Any comments are greatly appreciated.
