I have been feeding Loki and BART! green tripe with great results.
Green tripe contains digestive enzymes and seems to be a healthy, high
protein addition to the ferrets' diet (especially if the ferret has any
absorption issues). To find out information about green tripe, simply
type it into your browser and you will pull up sites which can explain
the benefits in much more detail. It smells terrible and looks gross-
as you would expect guts to look. We added it gradually to their meat
gravy and some finger feeding encouragement was used. The boys now
receive green tripe in the meat rotation every other day (rotated with
rabbit, venison, quail and buffalo) and they love it. All hail the
Menudo!! Does anyone else feed tripe or have experiences with it? It
is a wonderful addition to the diet IMO.

Lesley
