Mish:
My ferrets were going on the ramp of their cage for a time, too. It may
have been stress (I was going through a very bad time, maritally--is that a
word?), or because I did not clean the cage often enough. Four ferrets in
one cage are difficult to keep up with (yes, I know, all the breeders and
shelters are saying "4 ferrets? try 15! 30! or whatever")! I put food
dishes where they were going, following a FML suggestion. At one time I had
5 food dishes in the cage. Also, the home life stabilized, at least for
them, and they have not done it for over 2 months.

I have found a simple way to keep litter boxes "clean"--use cardboard box
lids! Now for the enviornmentally concerned, these are all boxes that once
held printer paper and the like, so I am officially Reusing them. This is
one of the Three R's, you know (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). But i love the
fact I can just throw them away after a couple of weeks of steady use.
Keeps the smell and the bacteria down, I'm sure.

I saw the Critters mag too. Cute!! My (estranged) husband picked up a
copy to have ferret pix since I have the fuzzies.

Lately the FML has directly answered many of my concerns and questions,
without my even having to post them. This is such an excellent resource!
Thanks, BIG!

BTW, Chris Weiman, did you contact CIFF and Kathy? Was she helpful?
Boy, lurk for a while and you can't get me to shut up...

Take care,
