Thanks to all that sent help on Joe's leg and Jeffry's tail. The vet
visit went really well today. The vet is hesitant to jump straight to
surgery on Joe. He shot the bump with something (I forgot what he said)
in hopes that it will absorb back down. If it doesn't go away in a week
or so, he's going to take it off. Given the list of complications that
can arise from surgery, I'm pleased that he's at least trying a less
aggressive technique first. We'll see what happens.

Jeffry had an ugly tooth that needed to come out. The vet pulled that
and sent home a bottle of antibiotic. We're also watching him for a week
or so to see what happens. If he starts filling back out again and the
fur starts growing back, we'll go with the symptoms were the result of
the tooth. If he keeps loosing weight (and fur) the vet said the adrenal
could be coming back. Not good, since we already took out one adrenal
gland. I've been told that they don't do so great when both glands are
gone. Let's hope it was just his tooth. The vet also didn't seem
terribly concerned about the knot on his tail. Said it was a benign
tumor and that we'd watch it. If it starts growing, we'll take it off
too. Poor, poor Jeffry.

Both boys managed to poop on the floor while we were there (poetic
justice, I'm sure). I'm so proud.

So that's the state of the kingdom in my world. We'll watch the boys
for a week and see what happens. Thanks again to all who wrote me. It
was very helpful going in with info.
