I'm so sorry to hear that your little fuzzbutt is in need of surgery for
a lump on his tail.  My roommate had a little fuzzbutt that also had a
lump on his tail and the vet had removed half of his tail, and that never
slowed the little critter down one bit.  So i am pretty sure that you
have nothing to worry about.  I wish you and your little baby the longest
happiest life.
