I've read a lot of ferret stuff out there and can't come up with a common
expert opinion about the link between albinism and blindness in ferrets.
I've had at least 12 albinos over the years and 3 of them were blind at a
fairly early age. Only one was diabetic, but the other two were healthy.
I've known many others who had blind albinos, but a lot of what I read says
there is no connection. Coincidentally, I have only known one other blind
ferret that was a sable. Is there or isn't there a connection between
blindness and albinos?

Additionally, how many of you out there have panda or shetland ferrets?
Are any of them deaf (Waardensburg Syndrome)?

Your input is appreciated!!!
