I also have heard rumors about S.C. being ferret free zone.  I had checked
this out, because I have never seen SC as ferret free zone before in my life.
 
The case goes like this, If I've heard this right.  I think SC does not allow
ferret to be sold, bought, adopted, adopted out in the states.  So I guess if
you already had a ferret, you are allowed to keep it.  But however I do not
know if you are allowed to move in there with your ferret though....  So your
best bet will be to call up the cities of SC  that you are moving, traveling
to and find out exactly what they have to say about the ferrets.
