I had a knock on my door a couple weeks ago. It was one of my neighbors,
whom was teary and hesitant in speaking. They thought they had bad news
for me. They thought one of my ferrets was hit on our little street. I
hugged her, and did a head count. Nope not my ferret. Scott and I ran
down to see it however.

It was not a ferret. It was a Mink you guys! And it didn't have any
obvious injuries so it was gorgious even in death. Even though it was not
alive I"m so excited because I just saw the most gorgious wild animal next
to our red tail hawks here. I buried the mink and said a little prayer
for him. I then called the Wildlife center to make sure it was not pet
(in other words in case if it was a pet, that someone didnt' call there
looking for it). They knew that Mink were supposed to be in TN (although
not commonly), but they hadn't heard of one this end of TN. Neat huh?
They say mink are scattered, theoretically, in every state but
Arizona...or ate least that is what I read on the web.

Wolfy, still awestruck by this creature. :)
