Are you SERIOUS???

With ALL the ferrets needing homes in ferret shelters, and ALL the
ferrets needing homes from local dog/cat shelters where they may be put
to sleep, with ALL the ferrets listed in newspapers and on websites
like craigslist and hoobly, WHY would you recommend people buy from PET
STORES? Buying from petstores helps benefit ferret "farms"/mills. There
are SO many better options for bringing home a new ferret.

Why not encourage people to adopt a shelter ferret for Christmas? THAT
is what I call a gift - the ferret gets a home, you get your new
ferret, the shelter now has room for another ferret since now a cage
is free for a new arrival. So most shelter ferrets are not cute little
kits - it's overrated.

Rather than give your $$$ to an overcrowded petstore that cares ONLY
about profit, why not give your $$$ to a shelter that CARES about the
animals? A shelter ferret will also have all their vet stuff done,
including vaccinations and the all important ADV testing. A petstore
ferret will have, what, their first distemper booster? Give me a break!
