I own many reptiles. But I am very careful to keep the reptiles in the
other half of my home. Ferrets stay in the other half. When they are on
free roam.. all doors to reptile rooms are shut! Theoretically, the
ferrets are the predators. Reptiles are deathly afraid of them. I make
sure I wash my hands and change my clothes before I ever ever handle one
of my reptiles as I would find it cruel for them to smell ferrets in their
home. I certainly don't let the reptiles see the ferrets. <g>

I, like Susan, though, would wonder that an iguana... if large enough,
could really hurt a ferret. Iguanas have fierce defenses. Large enough
they can bite the tip of your finger off (have experience here), and the
tail..... I won't even go there. My point here is that they could hurt
each other. Even if they don't seem to bother one another, a) its an
accident waiting to happen b) a reptile has an innate fear of ferrets...
and you don't want to stress a reptile ever.

Its fine to have reptiles, and even birds, et al..... but be wise. Be
considerate of all the animals instincts, and stressors.
