Of course we've all heard about the FLO by now. Well, I never thought it
would affect *me*. Not my ferrets, not my family.

For you to understand this, you have to know a little background. My
stepdaughter Caitlin is a nice young woman, tho perhaps a bit naive.
This June, her friend M___, who in a foreign country, stayed with us for
a couple of weeks. (We're in Massachusetts, a small town - we've always
felt safe here.) He seemed trustworthy, respectable. But apparently,
M___ & my ferret Ramon developed a relationship i didn't know about.

Now I adore Ramon, but I've never really trusted him. Always sneaking
around, & why would he wear that mask all the time if he wasnt hiding
something?

Caitlin received an e-mail communication today from M___, and I heard her
reading parts of it out loud to Ramon. I asked her if I could read her
e-mail, and this is what it said:

>It is VERY IMPORTANT that you tell ramone I said "abort." It's ferret
>code for our revolution against humanity. I've said too much already:
>just relay the message as soon as possible. Human life as we know it
>depends upon your delivery.

Well, she thought it was just a joke, but I immediately recognized the
significance. I knew they used feline agents, but I didn't know they
used *human teenagers*.

Shortly later I caught Ramon trying to turn on the computer. I stopped
him that time, but I can't be in the room all the time. As far as I know,
Chloe, the other ferret, is not involved - but how long can that last?

How to deal with this situation right in the heart of my family?
