Eye: buy some artificial tears (NOT the fancy things but plain old
artificial tears) and try rinsing the eye with that, but be SURE to get a
vet appointment.  An eye injury usually calls for asking for an emergency
appointment, even if that costs more.  You said that you can't get your
vet.

You can also ask regional clubs, look in magazines, and do Google

They need a reminder of how loved ferrets are, I think.  It wasn't
really a problem under their president a decade ago; he loved ferrets.
