We are a TF dealer in Norfolk, VA; so here's the 'scoop'. When you are
looking for a ferret food, you want to look for certain things. First off,
is protein, fat and fiber. Ferrets require a fairly high protein and fat
in their foods. Fiber is not digested well by ferrets, so if the fiber is
too high, the bulk of the food and nutrients go right through them. In TF
the protein and fat are more than acceptable and the fiber is the lowest of
any food I've seen yet. (see below)

The second thing to look at is the actual ingredients. I've heard it said
that the first 3 ingredients make up 80% of the food. Even if this is not
quite the right ratio, you can learn a lot by the ingred. list. In TF, 4
of the first 5 ingred are poultry based. This is good because it is highly
digestible by ferrets.

first five ingredients: chicken by product meal, rice flour, egg product,
chicken fat, poultry fat

guaranteed analysis: crude protein not less than 36%
crude fat not less than 22%
crude fiber not more than 1.5%
                      moisture not more than 10%
