Hi there all! I just acquired my first ferret this summer, weehawk,
and his "calming spot" as my husband puts it, is right under his chin.
I have taken him for a lot of hikes and bike rides, and when he has
gotten tired of being held, a gentle continuous scratch under the
chin seems to lull him into complacency long enough for me to get wherever
it is that we are going! I am going to go home tonight and try the
spot at the base of the tail :) He also seems to like to be on his
back and have people scratch his belly (someone else had mentioned their
furry companion liked this too). I was very happy to discover this list,
I have had cats for 20 years and never had met a ferret until I was helping
out at a pet store this summer, weehawk was their first ferret purchase, and
subsequently mine :) He is wonderful, and I am very excited to have found
such a great source of fellow enthusiasts and information fonts! Thanks
for being here! :)
