Lorie - I am SO sorry about Smokie.  Your message left me a little teary,
which is kind of hard to explain in a busy computer lab.  I will be thinking
of both of you.
 
Vets - Does anyone know of any good ferret vets in the Fargo, ND area?
One vet we went to didn't even know which vaccines to use - he said, "I
think this is the right one."  I said, "I THINK we'll go to someone
else."  The one we go to now is very good about researching information
if he's not sure.  He's also VERY good about fees - Bongo had a
mysterious scab on her side, and we worried about it because she hadn't
done anything that we knew of, and Boomer never bites hard enough to draw
blood.  So we took her in, and he examined her.  He figured it was just a
very small puncture, smeared some antibiotic on it, and sent us home - no
charge.  Nice guy!  I'm giving him a copy of the FAQ to use. (BTW, sure
enough, there was yet another hole dug in the lining under the couch.
She must have been poked by a spring or something.  But no more.
Now there's a refrigerator box stapled under there - tacky, but effective.)
 
Pie in the sky - Well, I've almost got the pie cleaned up.  Boomer was
COVERED with chocolate (he's a chocolate fiend) and whipped cream.  He just
had a bath and is careening around the house looking like a very small, very
irate badger.  Bongo was pretty gooey too, but instead of getting mad at me,
she took after Boomer, as if to say "This was YOUR idea, genius!"
