Brandon wrote about his ferrets fighting and making noises. It sounds as
if he's talking about my clan.

I have a youngster who, since the day I got him, makes the most pathetic
cries. But, like Brandon's, sometimes he's crying in excitement and not
evening being bitten. I, too, have rescued and saved him over and over
only to be squirmed out of and down to the ground to keep going. I have
concluded that they love their "fights" and he is just a vocal ferret.

I think the ferret "play-times", or "wars" or whatever they are, are one of
the oddest phenomenon.

There are so many aspects to it and I read so many peoples interpretations
of their fights. Mine *love* to chase and nip and squeal, all 8 of them
for the most part.

Just watch those little guys while they "play."

There's the silent chase; drop and rolls; "more noise than any two ferrets
can possibly make"; head butting; run away-stop-turn around-make everybody
run into you; the leaving the ground with all four feet and diving over the
next fuzzy, etc.

You get the picture. I think it would be interesting to hear about the
different fight-play tactics of our little furry friends.
