This is Susie Lee-Hurley at the Pensacola Ferret Rescue (the elderlies
and hospice "wing").  Tonight at 6:30 p.m., (12-22-02) 11-year old Smokey
Joe Oldster, after a long battle with internal tumors, and other ills,
died in Wesley's arms.  just relaxed and heaved a deep comfortable sigh
and ceased to breathe.
 
In Spirit, Smokey Joe truly did go to his forever home.  Among the angels
and angel-ferrets all, also of Pure Spirit, just as the Divine had made
them.
 
Good old Smokey Joe, everyone who ever saw him, even briefly, as on the
television-broadcast of Dec.  17th on our local NBC station (wpmi-15,
Mobile, ALA.) loved him on sight.  We are very proud to have been able
to give him comfort and ease his remaining days, and proud to have been
able to call him a beloved friend.
 
We're gonna miss you, Smokey Joe Oldster!
