I have the Sheldon's Theory paper in its application to ferrets.
It's a one-page publication with a very small sample size.
I was interested when I found the citation a couple of years ago and
started asking all of my friends who had ferrets if they found the same
thing. After 2 years of following the same methods as in the paper, with
a sample of over 200 ferrets, 165 ferret owners, I found almost zilch
in terms of a statistical relationship....
Personally, my female is 1.5 pounds and oscillates between wild and
crazy and timid, while my three very large males (3.5-4 lb), who ought
be easy-going, consist of two absolutely nuts and one discriminately
shy hob.
maybe this only applies to Texas!@
