Hi All!  Dooks to the fuzzybutts!
 
I have to give a speech soon on the topic of ferrets as exotic pets.  My
intention is to persuade my audience that ferrets are misclassified and
that this causes many many problems for the species, (eg difficulty in
finding knowledgeable vets, the rabies kill and test policy instead of
quarantines, etc.).  If anyone could help me out in locating websites on
this topic, it would be much appreciated.  I guess the biggest thing I'm
looking for is what makes an animal an exotic animal and not a
domestic/companion animal?
