Hello Fellow Ferret Lovers: MEDICAL QUESTION - My aloe vera houseplant is
otherwise inaccessible to Katy (our ferret), however, whenever she is on the
counter under my supervision she races for the plant and attempts to eat
it's leaves. (I prevent this from happening). Does this indicate that
something may be lacking in her diet? She is three years old and is on Iams
kitten food and Excel kitten food. Her treats are a few cheerios cereal
daily, a raisin periodically, and a drop of linatone every few days. (Also,
is avocado safe or not safe for ferrets?) I look forward to hearing a
response to this and thank you in advance for your time.

Congratulations PawPaw on your new addition, Odie!!!! and thank you for the
PML, what an excellent idea. To Moses, thank you for all the concise
information from Pets International - you did a great job! Dina who posted
on February 25th, your suggestion is a good step in preventing neglect and
cruelty to ferrets.
