Well, what's most unusual is the context.  I'd been reading those dreams
you folks had been sharing here but so far I had not had one of my own,
until yesterday.
 
I was going for septum surgery in the afternoon.  Right before they put me
under, the nurse suggested I think of something pleasant, so I'd have nice
dreams.  I started thinking of my fiancee.  It so happens she was the one
who introduced me to ferrets in the first place, so ferrets were definitely
mixed with my thoughts and feelings for her.  Then I went under.
 
I can't exactly remember what I dreamed while under the anesthetic, but it
was a huge adventure involving ferrets.  At same point they were threatened
by something and somehow I was supposed to save them by getting them to and
through surgery.  I don't remember what I had to fight in order to do that,
but I had to fight something and I was in the middle of doing that when I
started to come to.  I resisted it, because I wanted to make sure the
ferrets went through the operation allright.  But then one of the nurses
touched me and asked if I was allright, and I had to start coming back to
reality, and to face the fact that I was the one who'd just gone through
surgery and was helpless on a stretcher, coming to.
 
So there you have it.  My first ferret dream, in the oddest possible
circumstances.
