Kim, by posting this.....you are spreading this Nasty Rumor.  I thought
I'd point this out, incase it hadn't occurred to you.  It's certainly
not a rumour I'd heard before reading your post.  Personally, if I want
to find the answers to the questions your asking, about a local rescue.
I'd phone them,email them or write to them, though I suppose they may
take awhile to answer, after all they are so busy, so better still, if
they are close, I'd visit them and find the answers I sought, especially
if I was worried about ferrets welfare.  While I was there, I could even
help out.  Perhaps you could go help out and put your mind at ease.
