Dear Sandee:

Well I can't believe this is happening.....I just wrote to you last week
Monday when our sweet little princess Maxine passed away and now her long
time cagemate Maxi is gone to be with her......he missed her so terribly
that he just couldn't imagine life without her we tired to help him....
we went to see the vet today which is a little over a 4 hour drive during
the winter months because Maxi went down hill really fast this past
weekend so I called the vet yesterday and made arrangements to see her
today (Jan. 14)

well she thinks his adrenal turned to cancer and she could see that he
was giving up and just wanted to be with his Maxine.....so the vet
suggested and said that we would be doing the right thing by having him
put down she said there was no hope and nothing she could do.....she felt
that he was just giving up and that so many other things were going wrong
with his body......so his dad and I felt we were doing the right thing to
let him be with Maxine......

Sandee could you please make sure that Maxine and Booger are both there
to greet him along with Jubilee Spirit and Harley 'Bear' and please tell
him how sorry his mom and dad are and how much we love him and miss him
terribly.....we know how close him and Maxine were and knew that one day
should one pass away the other would not be too far behind.

My sweet little boy has been through so much this past year with having
his right adrenal problem and since my vet knew that it would be a tricky
surgery and she has never done it before she suggested putting him on
Lupron shots once every 3 months which we did since last year April 2002
after he had is insulinoma surgery......he crashed just out of the blue
so quickly about two weeks after Booger passed away in Jan. 2002 and we
had him diagnosed as having insulinoma.....so he was on pred for a couple
months and then the vet said that he should have surgery and so he did
she removed all the tumors and he's been fine ever since and about a
couple weeks after having his lupron shot in November 2002 he started to
grow his fur back but I noticed he seemed to be making weird sounds while
going to the bathroom so I mentioned it to the vet when he had his lupron
shot and she said that the pancreas will enlarge due to the adrenal gland
and that was probably why he was having a bit of a hard time and she said
that if things started to get worse to let her know but they didn't and
while Maxine ended up sick so suddenly over the holidays.....I noticed
that he might be going into a depression while she was sick he had good
days and bad days and since she passed away last week Monday he started
to go down hill and was just giving up and then when he got really sick
and lethargic and started to have diahrea over the weekend we called the
vet and made an appointment for today.....unfortunately she couldn't see
us Monday so we had to go today only to find out that we had to let our
sweet boy go to Rainbow Bridge......he is missed by his brother's Buddy,
Star, Prince, Shark, Bear and his sister's Lady, Pepper and Snowball.

Much love,
Rosie
