I have a min. poodle and ferrets -- and other dogs too.  They are fine
together but don't leave them alone -- poodles seem to be a bit hyper and
nippy at times.  Mine is almost 13 so he gets cranky with them when they
want to play with him.  The Peke that I have has a field day with them!!!
 
Just my opinion but don't leave them alone as you never know what a "nip"
might do from the poodle to the babies --
