Dear friends -
 
Thanks to all who helped with advice on pilling Slinky with Flagyl.
However, after several attempts I finally have given up.  The last straw was
getting the pill in, stroking his chin for about 10 secs, then letting him
go, only to have the pill spit back out and a reaction far worse than any
I've seen to bitter apple.  So, back to the vet and a prescription change to
Pepto Bismol, and a dose of amoxy.  While he doesn't like either one, at
least we can get them down.  As of this AM, his stools looked better than
they have in 10 days!
 
Again - you guys are all great and so helpful - what a wonderful group of
people!
