Just a few short notes from the Chi-town area.
(1) Marshall Farms Ferret Food - I received a sample of the Marshall Farms
ferret food from my Bil-Jac rep. In the two-foods test, my guys and gals
chose Iams Kitten over the Marshall Product overwhelmingly. The 38%
protein, 18% fat stats weren't enough to sway their taste buds. Methinks
the 'fishy' smell was the deciding factor. MFFF is being sold out here by
the independent pets outlets. PETCARE superstores, PET SUPPLIES PLUS,
PETZAZZ, or the other chains will not be carrying it.

(2) Registration for the 6th Greatest Ferret Show on Earth is in full
swing. We've started receiving applications for entrants and have out
first commercial table reserved by:

(3) PERFORMANCE FOODS! Totally Ferret will be available at the show. I
also anticipate a few pet stores having booths or tables there.

(4) If you need an application, send me your snailmail address or call
(708) 964-4232 and leave it on our voice mail. [log in to unmask] and
finally,

(5) To our friends in Michigan: I'd like to take this opportunity to
squash a rumour that I understand is making the rounds up there: Someone
has been saying that the Greater Chicago Ferret Association shelter NO
LONGER picks up ferrets confiscated in Michigan. Speaking as one who has
been on at least one "mercey mercy mission to the Michigan Humane
Society, and who has seen several ferrets come from there and other
sources in Michigan, I'd like to say that this rumour is utterly FALSE. I
can't imagine why anyone would want to spread such a rumour, but I'd
question that source on any other rumours they wish to spread. The GCFA
has always responded to the call for pickups in this FFZ. Our shelter is
committed to finding homes for ferrets who are displaced for ANY reason.
Nuff Said.
