I give my three heartworm preventative.  My vet mixes 0.3 ml ivermectin
1% for injection with 30 ml of propylene glycol and I give 0.1 ml per
pound of ferret once a month.  Some recommend half a Heartguard tablet
per month which I suppose is okay if you can get your ferrets to eat it.
