I haven't really sent any posts to the list, but have enjoyed reading,
laughing and crying for the past few mo. while reading them. I guess I
will start with a quick introduction.
I am Dorothy Morris, active duty military stationed in Germany. As of this
weekend I now have 9 ferrets!!!! YIKES ( Ferret Math strikes again) Powder
M (MF) 5yrs old Panda, Sweetie F (MF) 5yrs old Black eyed white, Sabe F
(MF) 5yrs old Sable, Pain F (German) 1 1/2 yrs old Sable, Panic F (German)
1 1/2 yrs old Sable, Dart M (German) 8mo old Dark Cinnamon, Lil Bit M
(German) 8mo old Dark Cinnamon, Rusty M (German) 8 mo old Light Cinnamon,
Flash M (German) 8 mo old Albino. Needless to say I am pretty much at my
limit for right now. =) I will be going back to the states in two years
when I ETS from the Service. I will be going back home to Tucson, AZ and
taking all the kids home with me of corse.
I enjoy the FML immensely, and have made some great new friends!
I have a few questions, I have owned ferrets now for 5 years and Powder is
the baby. =) ( I posted some questions about a weird swollen lymph which
turned out to be nothing =)=)=) Thanks to everyone who sent their concern!!
Anyway, I am the proud owner of 6 German bred ferrets. The boys are
extremely large, all weighing in at 5lbs and over, (at 8mo old!!) Dart and
Lil bit, were fixed at 6mo old because they wont do it any sooner over
here, (and you will be happy to know that they have made descenting
inhumane as of Jan 99 for Germany!! Yee Haw) and I made Rusty and Flash
their appointment for the 23rd. The question is, is this normal?? Powder
in his prime only came in at 3lbs.
The second question is, Flash is my first Albino, is there any special
information I should know????
Thanks for all the support and information!!! Let me express to everyone
who has sick ferrets or ferrets who have crossed the bridge our prayers are
with you and I am always here for anyone who needs to "chat" I love this
list!
