Thanks to the many responses that I got about ferret proofing my
apartment.
 
1) Aquariums -- I seemed to get about a 50/50 answer here.  Half
   of the people said there ferrets ignored them, half said they
   went for the fish/water and the aquarium should be protected.
2) Wires -- Most people said the ferrets chewed on the wires and
   that using Bitter Apple was the way discourage that.
3) Cabinet -- YES, ferrets can open cabinets.  Child-proof locks
   are needed to discourage them.
