Your vet have an injection of Vetalog, which is triamcinolone.  This is a
long acting steriod (ie Cortisone) that should last for about 4 weeks, so
I am not sure what the second injection was.  The Vetalog would be like
using pred.  Thus the vet wants to wait for 30 days for the Vetalog to
wear off before checking the electrolytes.  However if your vet is sure
that all of the right gland was not frozen then there is likely enough
adrenal tissue still working to produce enough of the needed hormones.
 
At this point, keeping a close eye on your ferret for the next 3-5 weeks
is needed.  If he becomes weak, lethargic, eats less, etc then have the
electrlytes rechecked.

PS If no Vetalog (or Depo-Medrol or Percorten-V or Pediapred or Florinef)
is used then an Addisons' crisis will happen 2-4 days after a complete
bilateral adrenalectomy.
