I have written a couple times about buying prednisolone from my
grocery's pharmacy. If any one is wondering, the grocery is Fry's, a
regional chain out here in Arizona. It is part of the Kroger family of
stores and pharmacies. On the pharmacy bag are printed the other stores
under their umbrella, and hopefully the others would have comparable
prices.

Before I had so many ferrets that needed pred I would get the usual
small bottle of 120 ml and that is about $10. Sometimes it would be a
sealed bottle direct from Hi-Tech, sometimes it would be a dispensed
brown bottle they would fill from the big bottle that I get now. That
is 480 ml.

The other pharmacies listed on the bag are: Kroger, Ralphs, Dillons,
Food4Less, JayC, PPS, King Soopers, City Market, Fred Meyer, Smith's,
Baker's, Gerbes and QFC.

Give any of them a try or check their pricing. Of Course, Wal-Mart is
competitive, too. The big thing is to make some kind of soup to carry
the pred so you don't pay someone for compounding.
