Please people NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use clumping litter of any kind with
ferrets or kittens (with cat's it is even questionable)!! It has been
proven to KILL these. Do this test, drop a few grains into a glass of
water, watch it swell to even 10 times it's original size, and note that it
has to be "sticky" to clump together. Now imagine what would happen to the
stomach or intestinal tract of a ferret or small kitten who happened to
ingest some of this. It sticks!! It swells!! It can cause fatal
blockages, and infections. PLEASE DON'T USE IT!! Also, have you ever
noticed how ferrets love to snorkel in the litterbox...what happens if it
gets impacted up their little noses? And if it gets into their mouths they
will swallow some of it. It also sticks to their feet, they lick their feet
to get the litter off...then it gets into their stomachs that way...very
dangerous stuff.

F.A.I.R. has a handout on the dangers of clumping litter, if anyone is
interested.
