Proglycem and it's generic diazoxide can sometimes be very hard to
find or order. That is also true for human patients. it is not always
readily available. I even know one family which moved to a different
state where there are more compounding pharmacies because of their
young human daughter's need for a constant supply since steroids do not
work for her congenital hypogylcemia. The best chance of finding it is
typically from a compounding pharmacy. There is a list in here:

Lack of this med is not necessarily the fault of anyone at the
hospital. It too often is in short supply in some areas.
