Good grief! If you, or your family, are that sensitive to the smell of
ferrets, perhaps they're not the right pets for you. Keep the litter
box clean, wash the bedding every week or so, clean your carpet every
few months, spot clean as needed (for all of those little accidents),
and that should be enough!

I definitely do NOT recommend putting anything ON the ferrets
themselves. Their natural smell can be easily kept under control if
you keep their environment clean.

Ferrets really don't smell any stronger than dogs or other pets, IMO.
