>Has anyone else observed their ferrets scooting on the floor after using the

Hi Joseph,

Yes - all three of my ferrets, who range in age from 6 mos to 2 1/2 years
old, "scoot" or drag their bottoms on the floors after using the litterbox.
At first I was a little worried about it, but then learned thru the FML that
this is extremely common, and normal - they are just being hygenic! and
some say they also spread their scent this way. Nothing to worry about at
all, and if you want to keep your floors clean, just place some newspaper
under and around your litterboxes to save your carpets. I always giggle
when I see mine doing it, it looks so funny I call them "draggy-butts"... :-)
