I think Rascal is depressed and misses her buddie. About a year ago, I had
three ferrets and two died within a month of each other. Poor Tilly was the
only one left and I could tell she was really depressed. She wouldn't eat and
lost a lot of weight. She would mope around the house and do the same thing you
described. She would kind of slide with her front paws beneath her, then she'd
come to a halt, sigh, and just lay there staring up at me looking very
depressed. A couple of months later I adopted 2 ferrets and Tilly slowly came
back to life as she got to know her new friends. I think Rascal is depressed
and needs a new friend as soon as possible. Until then I would have visiting
ferret friends for Rascal as much as possible. Good luck!
