Hello Ferret friends,
 
I certainly am not a Ferret expert, but just want to share my experience
with kitten food with you, when I first got my ferret Sable alot of the
reading and checking I did about food suggested mixing ferret food with
kitten food and I did this for quite a while,it seemed Sable would always
pick out the kitten food to eat first and really liked it.  But it seamed
that she did not gain weight good so I decided to cut out the kittten food
and go with just the ferret food and she started puting on a little weight
and filling out better.  So we stay away from the kitten food now..  I have
been reading here how everone gives their ferrets raisons for treats so I
got some for Sable, she doesnt like them, is she weird or what?
 
I just want to say how sad the Kelly case and cases like it are hope laws
change soon.  I do Bring Sable out alot and introduce her to people trying
to help educate.  She is such a good girl no matter where I take her.  But
never fail, always the fist questioned asked "does it bite".
 
I llive in the Kansas city area and would like to adopt a ferret friend for
Sable (and me to!) so if any one knows of any needing a good home(have lots
