Hello --

Since most of us have to struggle with the aftermath of death, I
thought I'd pass this idea on to you.

MAybe it'll lead to some consolation and relief, and maybe you'll have
other music to add to the list -- including from other genres.

Here's a list of music meant to be distress/despair antidotes -- mood
lifting and/or calming and/or cheering (w/o, of course, being silly or
jarring). Which do you think best match the bill? Any you'd cut out?

But, more important, what else do you recommend?

Pachebel -- Canon in D
Grainger -- Blithe Bells, Country Gardens
Grieg -- Lyric Suite
Mozart -- Concerto for Flute and Harp
Telemann -- Flute concerti, Concerto for Three Violins and Orchestra
James Galway (soloist) The Magic Flute, Annie's Song
Gluck -- Dance of the Blessed Spirits
Debussy -- Claire de Lune
Susam McDonald -- Miscellaneous harp music
Mendelssohn -- A Midsummer Night's Dream
Chopin -- Polonaises
Tchaikovsky -- Waltzes from Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker
               Suite
Kreisler-Dvorak -- Humoresque

The list comes from the book I was describing in an earlier post,
Katherine Cramer's Staying on Top when Your World Turns Upside Down.
