Hi X,

Yes Procrit and Epogen can be used in ferrets. Both are commonly used in
cats and dogs with anemia from chronic renal failure. It will not help
with estrogen induced anemia, but it helps with most other forms of
anemia. A recommended dose is 50-200 units /kg of epogen 3 times a week,
until the PCV goes into the normal range then reduce to 2 times a week
then once a week.

Hope that helps,
Jerry Murray, DVM
