I just read where this person recommended spraying bitter apple directly
into your ferrets mouth, and i am upset about this. This should NEVER be
done IMO. If you have a problem ferret and don't know how to train them
or deal with them, you dont' start by torturing them. How would YOU like
it if i took something bad tasting and put it in your mouth, you wouldn't
like that and its not helping to reinforce why they shouldn't bite. If
anything they should bite you more for doing that.

The purpose of bitter apple is for them to realize that they are not to
chew or bite on something. Spraying it on a surface say like your ankle
area will help them to realize that you dont' taste very well and deter
them from biting you anymore. Spraying it directly into their mouths is
just cruel.
